UPDATE 2004-10-31: Support - Please note that I have removed the Support Request page and am unable to respond to inquiries at this time due to other committments. I apologize for not being very responsive to issues but I have had to prioritize my life recently due to medical and family issues. I am aware that there is an issue with Windows CE 2003 and will try to provide an update as time permits. I hope to be able to provide better support for CEBible in the future. UPDATE 2002-02-14: BE-300 Support - I have received many emails about Casio BE-300 support, so here it is! The BE-300 only has 4MB of storage memory for programs, so it will require a CompactFlash card for storage, but this is more than made up for by the low cost of these machines (I have seen them for as little as $179!). This is a great platform for CEBible.

UPDATE 2001-12-05: Real-time Download Ordering - For those anxious to get started with CEBible, we now have real-time order processing for new licenses. Place your order on the SLSoftware web site and your download order email should typically be sent within 15 minutes! Add-on licenses and updates will be manually verified, so these may take up to 24 hours or so.

UPDATE 2001-06-03: Re-release of 05121 - A few customers have reported problems installing or running Build 05121 with the new Strong's KJV. This version has been re-released to the web site with some fixes that will address these problems. To get the new fixes, use your order email for Build (Media Code) 05121, re-download the CEBible install, and use it to do a "executable and help files" update to your handheld.

UPDATE 2001-05-11: KJV with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance - It's finally here - CEBible now supports KJV with a full Strong's Exhausitve Concordance - just tap the reference in the scripture and a dialog appears with the Strong's definition, for both OT and NT passages. You can even toggle the references on and off - with references off it reads just like a normal KJV - no need to install both KJV and KJVS.

For customers with CEBible 2.1 and KJVS, this will be a free update - there will be a link soon in the Pricing and Ordering Page for update requests. For new customers or customers with CEBible v2.1, the KJV with Strong's Exhaustive Concordance will be $15 as an add-on translation.

UPDATE 2000-05-15: Pocket PC Support, Pocket PC Magazine Ad, Mobile Channel for May-June I have confirmation from several customers that CEBible v2.1 works "without a hitch" on the new Pocket PCs. One even sent in a screenshot - if I can get his permission I will post it on the site. I understand that the installs go much faster as well with the USB cradles on some models.

Hopefully today I will get a new Mobile Channel up for May-June, as well as some additional updates to the site. I also noticed that I omitted the news item below from the main site's news page, although it did make it to the Mobile Channel news page.

UPDATE 2000-03-10: King James with Strong's Numbers, Portugese and Dutch, Search for International Language Translations, March Mobile Channel, a Few New Outlines - Whew - a lot of new items. First, we are pleased to offer a King James Version with embedded Strong's Numbers, so you can see what Hebrew and Greek words were present in the original scriptures. The translation itself is available now, and we are working on a method for accessing the actual Strong's definitions from within CEBible itsef (should be available in a month or so as a v2.1 update).

We are also pleased to announce search capability for DNB1930 (Norwegian), LSG1910 (French), LU1912 (German), and RV1909 (Spanish) translations. This update will include an appropriate index file and an update to the latest build of CEBible (03100 or 03150). As promised, the downloadable update will be free to existing owners of CEBible v2.1 with these translations - Please email for details.

In other news, we now offer Portugese and Dutch Staaten Vertalung translations, both with search, and work is underway on an Italian version as well. The March Mobile Channel is now up, as well as a few new outlines I have written and added to the online CEBible Study Pages. Finally, I have become very busy with both business and home "to-do's", so I am not getting my email processed as timely as I would like to. If you do email me, please be patient. UPDATE 2000-01-12: CEBible v2.1 Demo, SH4 Support, January Mobile Channel - Now you can try out CEBible v2.1 on your own HPC or PPC. The CEBible v2.1 Demo is a fully functional version of CEBible except that the included KJV Bible translation is limited to the books of Genesis and Matthew. Try it today!

The new CEBible Builds of 12319 and 01010 now support the SH4 processor found in some newer HPCs. If you currently own CEBible v2.1 and require this support, please contact for an update.

In addition, a new Mobile Channel for January is now available.

UPDATE 1999-10-03: CEBible v2.1 is Now Available for Download! Now you can download CEBible v2.1 and any "Public-Domain" translation and save on S&H. Just use our convenient online order form, and once we have billed your credit card (typically 24-48 hours) we will email you back with a download location and keys to unlock your software. Download at your convenience, and the self-extracting executables will walk you through creating CEBible v2.1 install floppies right on your desktop computer.

UPDATE 1999-08-05: New King James Version Now Available! SLSoftware is pleased to announce the availability of the New King James Version for CEBible v2! Due to the positive response to the outlines we have provided for CEBible v2, we have decided to make these outlines and the King James Version Bible available online in the CEBible Study Pages. Now you can study online with direct access to the scriptures referenced in the outline - one tap on these links brings up the scripture for further study. You can also download these outlines in text form for use in CEBible 2!

UPDATE 1999-05-05: New Revised Standard Version Now Available! We are pleased to announce the availability of the New Revised Standard Version! This brings our total number of English-language translations to 8, with 5 international language translations, plus a Hebrew Old Testament and a Greek New Testament! UPDATE 1998-12-30: First International Language Translations Now Available! As promised, the first international language translations are now available for CEBible v2.0! UPDATE 1998-11-06: Wow! What a busy week. I have some very exciting announcements to make regarding upcoming translations and outlines. First of all, negotiations with NCCCUSA regarding Revised Standard Version (RSV) and New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), and with Thomas Nelson regarding New King James Version (NKJV) should be wrapped up very soon. CEBible will continue to have the best selection of translations available at the best value, and I will be excited to add these three to our offerings.

Along with these new translations will come the option for advanced text formatting with some translations, including paragraph and poetic formatting, words of Christ in red, etc., all customizable to your liking.

In addition, I will be adding a new Outlines section to the web site this weekend with some free class and sermon outlines for you to download and use with CEBible v2.0! I am including some material that has not yet been published on the web, as well as some lesson outlines for a class on Making Biblical Decisions that I am currently teaching at our church.

UPDATE 1998-10-27: This new News Page will have the latest scoops about CEBible. Just today, the Pricing and Ordering Page has been updated so CEBible v2.0, the v1.0-v2.0 Upgrade, and CEBible v1.0 can all be ordered through online ordering pages or through Mail or Fax orders. (People had been sending v1.0 order forms with the v2.0 prices written in, so I thought it was about time to update!) The response to v2.0 has been absolutely tremendous, and I greatly appreciate all of the kind remarks people have sent. Anglicised NIV: I have received the paperwork for Anglicised NIV, and will be able to ship it in a few days, hopefully by this weekend! Stay tuned!

The response to v2.0 has been INCREDIBLE, and I am still a little swamped (but very grateful!). I will be updating The CEBible Support Page with a couple of issues, and probably breaking the pages up into issues specific to v1.0 and v2.0 to make things a little less confusing.

UPDATE 07/18/1998: Search Engine: The CEBible search engine is in beta test (Please - no email about being a tester - I have plenty of testers! Thanks!) and I expect it to be ready soon! In keeping with the current speed and quality of CEBible, the search engine provides almost instantaneous searching of keywords and contexts throughout the entire Bible text or a range you specify. Stay tuned for more info, and thanks for your patience - I want to do the search engine right the first time!

UPDATE 04/01/98: The Build 0213 update is now generally available. If you have a Build number (from the About Box) less than 0213, please email and I will email your update and instructions to install it. Build 0213 fixes all bugs known to date. 

UPDATE 02/17/98: The CEBible Support Page is now online. This page provides answers to some common questions regarding CEBible. Owners of CEBible are entitled to point releases (typically bug fixes). Typically, these will be released on the SLSoftware web site, through email, or on 3.5" floppy disks. If you think you have found a bug that is not listed in the support page, please email with the details.
