Using Outlines in CEBible v2
The Study Pages screens are divided into three areas. The first area is the vertical navigation bar at the left. Use the links here to return to any of the scripture or outline indices, or to return to the main CEBible site. The second area is the outline window, located at the top right. Scripture and outline indices will appear here, as well as the actual outlines themselves. The third area is the scripture window, located at the bottom right. When you select a passage from a link in an outline, or a book from the scripture index, the passage from the King James Version will appear in this window. Note that at this point, the entire book will load there, so it may take a minute or two. In the future, we may create some kind of server script so it would only display the selected chapter.
To view a scripture passage, select "Browse Scripture" from the left and select the desired book. The book will load in the scripture window at the bottom right.
To view outlines, select "Outline Index", "Subject Index", or "Scripture CrossRef" from the left and browse the indices to locate an outline. The "Outline Index" presents outlines by title, the "Subject Index" (under construction) will present outlines by subject, and the "Scripture CrossRef" allows you to locate outlines by the scriptures they reference. When you select an outline, it will appear in the top right window.
To use outlines in CEBible v2.0: 1.) Locate the desired outline(s) in the Outline Index, 2.) Right-click on the "TEXT" link next to the outline name(s) and select "Save Link As.." to download the text file to your desktop computer, 3.) Transfer the file(s) to your PPC or HPC in a convenient folder, like "My Documents", and 4.) In CEBible v2.0, use the outline button or "Open Outline" to load one of these files for viewing. You can then double-click to access the passages, and switch back and forth between the Scriptures and the outline.
